BANK MANAGER’S DEATH
MANSLAUGHTER , VERDICT. WHO FIRED THE SHOT? (Received 11.86 a.m.) . MELBOURNE, This Day. Douglas Robertson, charged with the murder of Mr William Almeida, manager of the Commercial Bank, on November 18, 1924, when the bank was stuck up by two men, one of whom escaped, was found guilty of manslaughter and remanded for sentence.
The foreman said that the jury had not reached a unanimous decision as to who actually fired the shot. —A, and N.Z.
