Flying Handicap, of 100 sovs; five furlongs.—Heislcr 1, King Field 2, Dave 3. Day Guard, Dorinda and Royal Flight were scratched. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time.— Imin 1 2-ssee.

Dobson, the owner of Hangawera, al new geyser sent up a glorious shot at the,edge of the lake in full view of the spectators, a mass of steam glitter-, ing in the sky. .The donors of the Cup, the Ngatawakane tribe, named the new geyser Hangawera.—Press Assn.
