OLEANDERS
HOW TO DWAE/ THE PLANTS. A useful method of obtaining dwarf but well-flowered plants of Oleanders or Nerium, is to take off the points of the shoots, flowerbuds and all, in the early autumn, at a length- of ten or twelve inches, insert them singly in small pots of sandy soil, placing the pots in a greenhouse or frame and keeping'"the cuttings shaded till rooted. When well rooted move them into six or seven-inch pots, and with care in watering the flowers will expand beautifully ami the plants form quite interesting subjects for the greenhouse during winter. The plants are very subject to attacks of a brown scale (coccus), and this must bo got rid of by spraying or sponging the foliage with an oil spray.
