ART UNIONS
THE GOLD LURE. ILLEGALITY ASSERTED. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Council of Christian Congregations has passed a resolution that, in view of magisterial statements that art unions as licensed by the Minister of Internal Affairs are not distinguishable from illegal lotteries, the Council urges that the* Government should secure legal opinion as to the art qualities of gold nuggets, with which cupidity and wild extravagance are fostered to a dangerous degree, and which the valid law of the land is being broken.—Press Assn.
