BURNED TO DEATH
WHILE INTOXICATED
INVERCARGILL, This Day.
At the inquest on Alexander Stewart, fatally burned in a hut at Winton, the evidence of a taxi-driver showed that deceased was intoxicated. In his opinion a burning candle resting on a block of wood had caused the fire.
The verdict returned was, accident ally burned to death while intoxicated —Press Assn.
