During the examination of a judgment debtor at the Dargaville Magistrate's Court on Thursday the debtor said lie was a farmer, but the farm was mortgaged up to the hilt. He had a wife, three chilren and a father 64 years of age, to keep. The debt was for the erection of a house on his father's farm before the war. While the debtor was away at the war his father was sold up and he lost everything. No order was made, and the Magistrate allowed him 17/- expenses for the time lost at the court.—("N. A. Times")
