FATAL CRASH
TANGOWAHINE LADY KILLED,
CHILD SUFFERS INJURY,
AUCKLAND, This Day.
The deaith occurred in the Hospital last night of Mrs Mary MacKenzie, aged 37 years, a visitor from Tangowahine, as the result of a motor accident at Onehunga yesterday afternoon.
Mrs MacKenzie, with her daughter Jean, aged seven years, -was about to leave the tramway shelter to board a tramicar when a motor truck, in attempting to turn, skidded on the wet rpadway and crashed heavily into th" shelter.
Mrs MacKenzie suffered a compound fracture of the thigh, death ensuing after an operation. Jean MacKenzie Was badly bruised but • others who were present in the shelter escaped injury. The building itself was considerably damaged.—Press Assn.
