CommonI wealth women, at which women's or- : ganisations in the overseas Dominions ' are well represented, discussed inequalities of the marriage laws of the Dominions and adopted a resolution demanding the Dominions to legislate along the lines of the resolution adopted by the House of Commons, enabling British women to make declarations m cases of marriages with aliens; also protesting against the loss of the status of women from other parts of the Commonwealth on entering South \ Africa and the province of Quebec, \ and calling on the Governments of those countries to grant woman 'Suffrage. Other resolutions were adopted demanding economic equality for women, legislation providing equal pay for an equal and free field, removal of obstacles against the employment of married women, also basing protective legislation upon the nature of the worK and not upon sex.
