TUBERCULOUS COWS
COMPENSATION FOR FARMERS. (Reeoived 1.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 11. The House of Commons carried a measure for compensating farmers to the extent of three-quarters of the cost of tuberculous cows condemned. It is estimated that 3000 are slaughtered monthly, costing the Treasury £67,500 per annum. —Sun.
