NORTH AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The regular fortnightly meeting of the committee of management of the ! above Association was held in the I Y.M.C.A. rooms on Thursday night Present —Messrs. D. E. Young (chairman), J. Orr, W. A. Cole, R. Booth, 8 I Cole, D. L. Smedley, J. Cole and the ■ secretary, M. Whitelaw.

The secretary was requested to -write to Mr. P. Rose, of Wellington, thank' ing him for his offer re furthering the interests of the N.A.F.A. in Welling ton, and to intimate in the letter that the N.A.F.A. may at some future dato require his valuable services as it? representative delegate on the New Zealand Council. The secretary was also instructed to write to Mr. H. Fearnley, of Hikurangi, advising him that he is an of fieial referee of the Association, and also to convey to him a request regarding his furnishing the dates of the Saturdays on which he w T ill be available. The following referees were appoint ed for the third draw in the second round of the Campbell Cup competition, to be played on July IS: —Messrs. A. Leatherby, Y.M.C.A. v. Waro A; A. Bowie, Hikurangi v. Waiotira; J. Ritson, Waro B v. Portland, the lirst mentioned team in each case being the home team.

I The secretary was instructed to write to tlie Auckland Football Association asking it to endeavour to send a B team to Whangarei on August 8, and at the same time to inquire if there is a likeliTiood of arranging a match with the N.A.F.A. in Whangarei with a team from the visiting American warships. The secretary was also instructed to ask the Auckland Association to forward at its earliest convenience the representative jerseys left in its charge for laundry treatment after the Brown Shield fixture. It was decided to allow J. Parsons £1 per week 1 compensation for injuries received in the A and B match playod on June 20 until s'jcTi time as he is ■able to resume his oc.r.rpation. Incomplete insurance cHims received from J. Baxter and J. respectively were deferred ifi further consideration at the next meeting, pending a complete report fron the claimants in the interim. The secretary of the Hikurakggave notice of motion for the r.evt meeting concerning the Association '; decision regaining the abandoned match "between Hikurangi and Waro B, played on May 9.

Tt was decided to leave the matter concerning the referee's report on the match, Hikurangi v. Portland, played on July 4, in abeyance until next meeting. The question of acquiring a playing area at Kensington Park was given lengthy discussion, which was eventually adjourned until next meeting, when the sub-committee appointed to deal with the matter will furnish a fuller report. I't was .decided to play two matches on July 25, one at iHkurang'i and t'.;e other at Whangarei, the teams to be chosen by the selector and tlie matches to be played under the auspices of the Association with the object of augmenting its funds.
