The demonstration and route march held at Hongkong comprised sailors and marines from the submarines and warships, including H.M.A.S. Brisbane, followed by the East Surreys, fully equipped. The volunteers turned out in full strength. The Punjabis held a route march at Kowloon. ; The Japanese concession at Chunking is surrounded by a crowd and the Consul considers a collision likely. The charges against Dosser of making preparations to incite disorder were all withdrawn, except one, and all the charges against his wife were dismissed. The situation at Shanghai is quiet. —Reuter. Agitators are taking advantage of the discontinuance to foster unrest and intimidation. ' . A tramway employees' car containing 30 fitters was held up and the men forced to accompany the agitators to Chinese territory.
