DOCTOR AND BOARD.
CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
At a special meeting of the Hospital Board this morning the report of the superintendent, Dr. Fox, 011 venereal disease was consideredMrs. McCombs moved, "That the Board dissociates itself from the sentiments expressed by Dr. Fox." She objected to a statement that men had been led astray by unscrupulous women. 1 The Rev. J. Carr, in seconding, said he thought Dr. Fox wished to create a storm, as that was the only way to get under the skin of the. average citizen. Dr. Fox replied that he had not referred to women in general. The motion was defeated by six votes to four.—Press Assn.
