EXPANDING DISAFFECTION. PEKIN, June 21. The Government has given notification that it is determined to take severe measures against persons endeavouring to disturb the peace and goodwill of the colony, offering . rewards for information leading to the arrest and conviction " of offenders. Nakadai was returning to the bank with 5000 dollars in a bag. His assassin escaped with the money. The general strike at Hongkong is spreading. The motormen and conductors on the electric tramways have struck and the service is temporarily supended. 'Chinese house servants in European employ at Kowloon have struck. It is expected that the movement will be general throughout the colony.— Reuter.
