PROVIDENTIAL ESCAPE
MOTOR CAR OCCUPANTS.
CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
A mator car driven by Mr Tom Pain of Cheviot skidded on one of the approaches to the Weka bridge at Waipara and crashed through the rails. The car was saved from falling into the river through one wheel catching on the edge of the bridge. There were five occupants, including two women. All were able to scramble back to the bridge and escaped with a shaking. —Press Assn. •
