WHANGAREI CLUB CONTESTS.

During the past week several matches have been got off in the WliangArei Club's competitions with the result that the closing stages are now fast approaching. The Saturday handicap singles section has been an especially busy one. With the continuous fine weather the greens have been playing well, full advantage of which has been taken by the members.

f On the No. 2 green on Saturday last the representatives of the Northern Wairoa Club and the Whangarei .Club met in friendly combat. The proceedings were marked' by great enthusiasm.
