He was vicepresident, governor or member of many agricultural and other societies a net also a director of W. and A. Gilbey, Ltd. The deceased was also chairman of the organising committees of the Franco-British Exhibition in 1008 and the Japan-British Exhibition in 1910.—A. and N.Z.
