PLACATING SOCIALISTS. HERRIOT PROMISES MEASURES. ACCORDING TO DICTATION. (Received 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, February 7. The "Daily Express' " Paris correspondent reports that a Socialist deputation, headed by M. Blum, waited on M. Herriot and laid down terms under which the party would continue to support the Government. It is understood that M. Herriot promised a Bill limiting military service to a year, also a Social Insurance Bill. —Reuter.
