WHANGAREI MAN MISSING.
ALLEGED TO BE DROWNED
CAP FOUND ON BANK,
About a month ago Thomas Buston, a well-known local resident and a Tβtired farmer well over 50 years of age, left Whangarei for the purpose of visiting his relatives at Te Arolia anfl also undergoing treatment at the springs. It appears that Buston atrived at his destination, for he is reported to have stayed at "Hazelwooil House," Te Arolia, last Friday night. On Saturday morning a watch and chain and a sum of money were found in his room. The police "have been making active inquiries and a cap with the name "Buston" has been found near the Thames River. Up to the present thero is no trace of the missing man, who was at one time engaged in farming pursuits in conjunction with Mr Steve Paton, of Whangarei.
