"If a civil engineer says the same thing about these drains as your foreman, will you say the engineer is too"? asked counseel of a witness in the Supreme Court (reports the "Manawatu Standard"). "Most certainly I will," was the reply, "because in- my experience of them they are always disagreeing among themselves." (Laughter.)
