AMUSEMENTS.
LYCEUM TONIGHT. "Wandering Daughters," by Dana Burnet, the initial James Young production for First National which is to be screened at the Lyceum Theatre Tonight, is replete with ultra-modern humour as well as tense dramatic sit-, uations. Not only may satire that. would do credit to that prophet of jazz, F. Scott Fitzgerald, bl> found m such remarks as "the -father- of a modern girl ought to be a nighiwatchman,, —but there are cha-acttprisa-tions that reveal the amusing coif A-asts between the past and present generations. !
The Bowdens, who belong to yesterday, find their pleasure in sociables and the home orchestra, but their daughter who represents the age of jazz finds hers in the ridicuolous revels of the sensation-seeking set at the country club. It is a toss up as to which is the funniest, the trick orchestra that makes life at home miserable for t" " up-to-date Bessie Bowden, or the silly parties in which the younger set indulge. 245
