A LABOUR REQUEST. (To tho Editor.) Sir, —Not desiring at this moment to seek permission to comment upon your sub-leader consequent to my letter of tho 20th inst., nor wishing at this juncture to comment upon Councillor Brainsby's equivocal reply—or, rather, equivocal letter, but non-reply to my query—may I again ask, what were his conscientious objections, and further ask which is correct, your report that the councillor was opposed to cheap methods of advertising or his letter In which not the slightest reference to advertising is made? Perhaps you will kindly enlighten me. —I am, etc.,
