TOMBS OF ANCIENT DAYS. OTJTRIVALUNG. TUTANKHAMEN. PROPOSED RESEARCH EXPEDIDITION. (Received 9 ajai.) LONDON, August 22. The "Daily Express' " Paris correspondent says that the wonders of Tutankhamen's tomb may be eclipsed when experts next year recover three tombs, 1000 years older, the whereabouts of which they gleaned from inscriptions on Tutankhamen's tomb. It is stated that the new tombs aTe five miles further up the Valley of the Kings and contain the remains of rulers of a rich, province in the days when gold and ivory were used fo r ornamentation. Mr Kelsey, a Chicago banker, brought the news to Paris and hopes to organise a Chicago University research expedition. —A. and N.Z.
