FILTRATION BEDS.
EXPERT IN VESTIGATION
(Special to "Northern Advocate.") AUCKLAND, This Day,
The City Council has been considering the advisability of installing filtration beds for removing foreign matter from water supplied to consumers. To that end negotiations were entered into with a firm which specialises in the manufacture of filtration plant. A representative of this company reached Auckland by the Niagara on Monday.
Commenting last evening the Mayor stated that the expert was making his investigation and later would submit a tentative report on his observations. This Teport would be supplemented by further suggestions on his return to London and the Council might expect a fully considered report at the end of the present year.
