FEWER HOURS.
PROTEST LODGED. (Received 12.20 p.m.) PERTH, This Day. The Leader of the Opposition, Sir James Mitchell, moved a reduction of Supply by £5000 as a protest against the Government introducing the 44hour week. Mr Johnston, Deputy Leader of the Country Party, intimated that his party would not support the amendment, though not in favour of the 44-hour week.—A. and N.Z.
