HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Fanners' Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports as follows:— At the Hamilton weekly stock sale on Tuesday we had a fair entry of all stock. No prime steers were penned. Prime fat cows drew good competition. Fat sheep and pigs were also scarce. Beef.—Light fat steers, £8 6/ to £9 11/; good quality, fleshy, 3 and 4yr steers, £6 5/ to £6 15/; extra prime heavy fat cows, £9 6/; heavy, £7 to £7 12/6; lighter, £5 6/ to £6 5/; best vcalers, £2 16/; good fresh conditioned 4 and syr steers, £4 19/ to £5 5/; good framed store cows, £2 5/ to £2 10/; others, 25/ to 35/; best dairy cows, well forward, £8 10/ to £9 15/; backward, £3 to £6; fair Jersey cross heifers, £5 to £7; backward and low conditioned, £3 to £5 15/. Sheep.—Heavy fat ewes, 36/6; small fat wethers, 32/; fat and forward ewes, 27/6. Pigs.—Baconers, £3 12/ to £4; best porkers, £2 19/ to £3 6/; lighter, £2 10/ to £2 15/; small and unfinished, 35/ to £2 2/; slips, 25/ to 31/; best weaners, £1 to £1 4/; smaller, 16/ to 18/.
