MART REPORT,

Messrs. Thomson, Baglcy and Co., report sales as follows for week ended oh Saturday:—There was a small offering of poultry, bidding was very keen, and prices realised were very satisi factory. The fruit and vegetable sale was well patronised, and all consignments were cleared at market rates. Southern potatoes eased slightly during the week; they are still in very keen demand. Great difficulty has been experienced in procuring steady supplies. Victorian onions have firmed very considerably, and there seems no possibility of the market easing. Grain and produce.—Gß.O.S., Blenheim chaff £13 per ton ex-store, Canadian oats 6/1 per bus., maize 8/3, G.W. F. wheat 8/3, bran 14/6 per 150, sharps 23/6 per 200, Palmer's mixed grain 7/9; Southern potatoes 11/- per cwt.; Melbourne onions 23/6 per cwt. Fruit. —Yates apples 7/- per halfcase, Delicious 14/6 per ease, Stunners 12/6, cookers 11/-; Lemons 8/- to 10/per ease; Poorman oranges 4/- per case, sweet 'oranges 7/- per half-ease; walnuts 8d per lb.; Island oranges 18/- per case. Vegetables.—Cabbage 3/- to 6/- per doz., cauliflower 7/-, carrots 1/6 to 2/-, spring onions 1/6, kuinovas lb.; swedes 3/- per small sack, pumpkins £d per lb., marrows £d per lb. Poultry.—W.L. hens 6/6 to 8/6, W.L. roosters 5/6, 8.0. hens 7/-, ducks 11/(good laying), drakes (ordinary) 6/-, all at per pair. A large sale of nursery stocks and fruit trees was very successful, some 2000 plants being cleared at very satisfactory prices.
