WIFE AND CHILD SLAIN,

ADELAIDE, This Day.
A shocking tragedy is reported from Bute. The young wife of E. Harvey, a local butcher, and their four-months-old child were discovered in a house both dead from rifle wounds. Harvey was discovered in an adjoining, paddock with a wound in his head. His condition is not thought to be serious. The circumstances of the tragedy are not known. —A. and N.Z.
