1 1 'ie Farmers' Co-operativ'j Auctioneering Company, Ltd., reports as follows:— At Hamilton on Tuesday ine yarding of stock was smaller than usual, cattle especially being much short of the average. The demand for sheep was far from brisk and a good percentage of the yarding failed to change hands at auction. The bulk was, however, disposed of privately. l£at ewe? made to 27s fid, forward ewes to 2.15, aged ewes 13s 9d and lambs to ISs Id. A draft of Romney rams sold at 19s. Competition for beef was brisk and everything of this class was quitted without difficulty. Best steers made to £12 10s; light , weights, £8 7s to £9 10s; best cows to £5 17s 6d; light weights, £l 5s to £5 ss; forward cows, £2 5s to £3; store cows, 17s 6d to £1 ss. Pigs drew good competition for all classes and improved slightly on last week's values. Bacnners made to £-4 Is; light weights, £3 to £3 10s; best porkers to £2 15s; light weights, 37s to £2 7s fid.
