SATURDAY SALE.

Messrs A. S. Bevin, Ltd. report hav-

held p. most successful sale at their premises, Kathbone Street, on Saturday, June 21. There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition was keen. An exceptionally large entry of poultry was disposed of under the hammer at highest market prices, fruit, produce and vegetables, selling at market rates. Prices realised were:—Turkey gobblers 7/ each; Brown Orpington cockerels 7/ to 7/4 a pair, hens 5/6 to 6/6; White Leghorn cockerels 5/6 to 5/10, hens 4/ to 5/; mixed hens 4/10 to 5/4; drakes 5/2 to 5/10 per pair, ducks 5/ to 6/2; Brown Orpington pullets 5/10 pair. Apples, Dougherty 11/1 per case; onions £1 1/ per cwt, best Southern white potatoes (splendid sample) 12/ per cwt, kumeras 4/3 per 281b, pumpkins 3d per lb. Marrows and melons wctre dull of sale. Throughout the week there was an ever-increasing demand for chalT, grain, seeds and produe.
