ANNUAL MEETING.'

I The annual meeting of the Hikurangi I Chamber of Commerce was hold in the , Town-Board office on Monday evening, Mi' D. Young presiding. Apologies for absence front the meeting were received from Messrs Douglas, Lomas, Rutljerf-fl'rd and Merrington. The cluiirmanV report, wh,*ch dealt mainly with the past year'.* work, was read. The Chamber was complimented on the splendid endeavours it had made to try to have portion of the Wa'Ti lime rocks set apart i:> a scenic reserve, also on the inanne." in which it had urged for improvements ii: the Ilikrinngi statbn, the yards and the g'oo.l: heds.
