Charles Ream, a taxicab driver of Chicago, identified Leopold and Loob as the youths who in February lured him to an automobile and rendered him unconscious by the use of ether, lie picked himself up in a swamp where he had been thrown after a gland operation had been crudely performed. On April 7 Marvin Wolf, 24 years of age, the son of a Jewish millionaire, went to a corner to post a letter and never returned. Weeks later his dead body was found in a sewer, grossly mutilated. The police state that they have ground to believe that Leopold and Loeb were involved in the case. Julius Rosenwald, president of Sears and Rosebuck, America's greatest mail order house, visited the police in an attempt to aid Loeb and his partner in their trouble. The police allowed him to read the boys' confession in which they allegedly detailed elaborate plans to kidnap Rosenwald's own grand-son and kill him after experimenting on him.—Sun.
