NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS TWO BRITISH EXPERTS. COMMISSIONED BY CABINET. WELLINGTON, This Day. The Minister 'of Railways, the Hon. J. G. Coates, announced yesterday that the Cabinet had decided to appoint a commission of inquiry in connection with the New Zealand railways and that arrangements had been made for Sir Samuel Fay and Sir Vincent Raven to carry out an investigation. These two gentlemen are British railway experts of high standing. They aire at present engaged in carrying out a similar inquiry into the railways system of Noav South Wales. It is anticipated that they will not, be available to come to New Zealand for at least three months. The commission will inquire into •financial arrangements, equipment and general working, including the administration, control and economy of the railways service.—Press Assn.
