JJOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Whangarei County Council held on FRIDAY, the 13th day of July, 1923, it was Resolved by way of Spccial Order that the Whangarei County Council make BjWJaws under provisions of "The Counties Act 1920,'' " Tlie Public Works Act 1908." "The Motor Regulations Act 1908," and by every Amendment of the said Acts. The object arid purport of such ByLaws being shortly as follows: — 1. Repeal of Sections 4 to 40 of the Principal By-law, and the whole I, of By-Law Ng. 3. 2. Classification of vehicles. 3. Appointing the fees to be paid in respect of the various classes of vehicles and for specified periods. 4. Appointing the fees to be paid in respect of vehicles engaged in heavy traffic. 5. Defining heavy traffic. 6. Regulating heavy traffic. 7. Computation of weights. 1 8. Prohibiting lieavy traffic during ' ' certain months of the year. 9. Regulating weight of loads that

may be taken over wooden bridges of over' 20 feet in span. 10. Providing for the cost of reinstating roads in consequence of certain traffic. 11. General provisions.
