The Health Department reports thnt the cases of pneumonic influenza and pneumonia in various health district? for the week ended yesterday were as follows:— Auckland — Pneumonic , influenza cases 18, deaths 7. Pneumonia cases 9, death 1. Hawke's Bay — Pneumonic influenza case 1, death 0. Pneumonia case 1, death 0. Wanganui and Taranaki — Pneumonic influenza cases 10, death 0. Pneumonia case 1, death 0. Wellington — Pneumonic influenza oases 5, deaths 2. Pneumonia cases 3, deaths 3. [ Canterbury — Pneumonic influenza oases 62, deaths 7. Pneumonia cases 5. deaths 2. Otago — Pneumonic influenza cases 53, deaths 19. Pneunjjonia cases 2, deaths 0. North Auckland reports no eases of influenza or pneumonia for the week. The Health Department states that the figures quoted above strengthen the view that the present influenza J epidemic is in no winy dissimilar from that of 1920. —Press Assn. r, LATEST FIGURES. DUNEDIN, This Day. During the last 24 hours there have be«n 13 notifications of pneumonic, cases in Otago and Southland and two deaths in Dunedin. —'Press Assn. THREE IN AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, This Day. Three pneumonic cases of influenza were reported to-day, also one fatal case at Walton. The total for the month so far is 34, including three fatal cases. —Press Assn.
