WHANGAREI CARNIVAL

The Whangarei Boxing Association's Carnival to be held on YVeanesuay next at the Town Hall pi'otnises to be one of the best "put ort' fbcally. With the exception of the fly-weight contest, the whole of the bouts arc to be six two-minute rounds.

In the heavy-weights S. Litt, of Maungakaramea, is to meet K. Holineck, of Hokianga. In the welter division, Stewart and Bauman, both of Whangarei, will try conclusions, whilst Dwyor, of Otaijp, will meet r.. Miller, of Matapouri. A cruiser-weight bout has been arranged between 1\ Cunis, of Whangarei, and A. Snowden, of Hikurangi. In the lightweight some good contests should lie witnessed, S. Bignell, of Whangarei, being pitted against Carroll, of Au<tkland. and v Cr. Reeves/ of Whangaivi, will meet J. Danks,. who .hails from Dargaville. An endeavour is also >>eing made to mateh Haggic, of Waikito, A featherweight contest is to take place between T. Hawkins, of Pukchuia, and J. Pickles, of Hikurangi. J. Postlewaitc, of Auckland, will meet .T. George, of Whangarei, in a bantamweight contest and a fly-weight, bout of four two-minute rounds is billed between Lacev, of Whangarei, and Ruhs, of Kaikohe.
