A LESSON FOR KAMO.

The destruction by lire of r.'nc Kanio Town Hall, regrettable as it is, m«y :;t least serve as a source of inspiration for the people of that township. They recently took a very important step forward when they made a contract with the Whangarei Borough Council for the purchase of electric current. If water hod been, available at Knnio as soon as the outbreak of fire was discovered last night the'greater part of the building could have been sawed. In recent times Jvamo. has had several serious fires, and residents who would ,'gladly have helped to extinguish thent have had to stand by and watch valuable property burn becausc there was no means of fighting
