At the Supreme Court criminal session, Samuel Brittain, who pleaded guilty to common assault on a woman at Katikati, was ordered to come up for sentence if called upon. Martin Gjerstad, for breaking and entering and theft, was sentenced to .12 months' imprisonment. Nuku Mqreniana, on a charge of manslaughter, causing the death of a man named Williams at Thames, received a term of three months' imprisonment.
