VERY ENCOURAGING
DUNEDIN, This Day.
About 38,500 bales were offered at today's wool sales, being superior hnlfibred and crossbred. There was a representative attendance. Bradford, America and the Continent were eager buyers, the local mills wanting good halfbreds and Merinos. The opening was encouraging, prices showing advances of lid to 3d for halfbreds and £d to lsd for crossbreds, as compared with tlio Dunedin December sales. The top price to date is maiden halfbred, 19d. —Press Assn.
