TENNIS TOURNEY.
CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The finals of various Dominion championships at the lawn tennis tourney have been completed. In the men's singles Laurenson (Waikato) beat Bartleet (Auckland), 6 —2, o—4, .6—4. The combined doubles final produced a good contest. Miss Curtis (Wellington) and Ollivier (Canterbury) defeating Mrs Marshall and Bartleet (Auckland), 6 —4, 2—6, 7 —5. Goss and Greenwood (Canterbury) won the men's doubles, beating Robson and Bartleet (Auckland) on tactics. Bartleet had played in another final and tired towards the end. "Wellington won the banner with 8i points, Canterbury 6§, Auckland 6. Auckland was runner-up in all five championships. Tri the match for the Wilding Memorial Shield Canterbury has so far won five out of six matches.—Press Assn.
