WESTFIELD STOCK SALES.

Alfred Buckland and Sons report:—
On Wednesday at our weekly "Westfield fat stock market, our supply of beef numbered 417 head, comprising 374 steers, 40 cows and heifers, and 3 bulls. There was a fair demand, at values which were on a par with last week's quotations. Extra choice ox sold to £1 5/, choice and prime £1 to £1 4/, ordinary and plain 16/ to 19/; prime young cßw and heifer beef 17/ to £1 3/, ordinary cow beef 11/ to 16/, rough beef 5/ to 10/; extra heavy prime steeTs ranged in price from £12 to £12 15/, heavy prime steers £9 to £10 12/6; lighter prime £6 15/ to £8 15/, light and unfinished £3 15/ to £6 10/; heavy prime young cows and heifers £5 5/ to £7 12/6, lighter prime £4 to £5, other cows £1 to £2 15/.
The sheep pens were will filled with a nice class of mutton. There was an improved demand and generally values were firmer. Jleavy prime shorn wethers made 16/6 to 18/, medium to heavy prime shorn 14/6 to 16/, lighter prime shorn 12/ to 14/, unfinished shorn 9/6 to 11/6; best heavy prime young shorn ewes 12/6 to 15/, heavy fat ewes 10/6 to 12/, lighter 8/ to 10/, other ewes 5/ to 7/9. (2044 sold.)
Lambs were penned in increased numbers and met with a steady sale throughout. Best heavy prime 16/6 to 18/, lighter prime 13/6 to 16/, light prime 11/6 to 13/; small lambs 7/6 to 10/6. (537 sold).
Fat and young calves were again penned in large numbers, including several lines of choice vcalers. Competition was only fair and values showed no im-' provement on last, week's rates. Runners made from £2 10/ to £3 16/, heavy vealers £2 10/ to £3 8/, medium £1 15/ to £2 9/, light £1 to £1 12/6, smaller 10/ to 18/, fresh dropped 4/ to 10/. (168 sold).
Fat pigs continue to come forward in large numbers. There is a slackening off in demand, and values were again on the decline. • Choppers and sows that have had young are hard to quit. Choppers 15/ to £1 5/; medium to heavy baconers, £3 10/ to £3 17/6; light baconers, £3 to £3 8/; heavy porkers, £2 10/ to £2 17/6; light to medium porkers, £1 2/ to £2 5/; good weaners, 10/ to 17/; small weaners, 3/ to 7/6. (414 sold.)

Extra choice ox 24/, prime 20/ ito 22/0, second quality .19/ to 15/, prime cows find heifers 17/ to 22/, others 14/ to 10/. Sheep.—A fair yarding, wich improved demand, and prices were firmer. Prime shorn wethers 17/ to 18/, good 14/ to 16/, unfinished 12/6 to 11/G, prime ewes 12/6 to 14/6, others 8/ to 5/6. Lambs. —Were penned in increased numbers, an<l me't with a ready sale. Extra heavy 29/, prime 16/ to 13/6, others 10/ to 7/6. Vral. —Average yarding, there being no improvement on last week's prices. Runners £3 to £2 10/, vealeirs £2 10/ to £1 10/, fresh dropped 7/ t,o 3/. Pork. —A large number of pigs was penned, and prices further declined. Choppers 25/6 to £2, heavy baconers £3 15/ to £4, heavy porkers £'2 7/6 to £3.
