A Match between Maloney (Whangarei) and J. Darley (of WhanunakiV to run 5 miles for substantial purse. REFRESHMENTS: The Committee aro anxious to please in this matter and patrons may be assured of a Bountiful Spread. VISITORS BY MOTOR are advised to travel via Otonga and Opuawhanga. The Wairahi Cutting is well worth travelling through from a scenic point of view as well as being the better route; road good and no ferry. Ferry in attendance for travellers via Marua till 12 noon. RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1. —First Race starts punctually at 11 a.m. 2. —Prize moneys paid out immediately after event unless protest entered. 3.—A1l entries must be paid or competitior not permitted to start. No nominations' will be considered nor liandicaps declared unless accompanied by Entry Fees. 4.—Entries for all Handicaps and Maiden Chop close with Secretary, on SATURDAY, 17th DECEMBER, at noon. 5. —All performances must accompany each nomination. False declarations ensure disqualification. C. —The Starter will have sole control of all Competitors after having entered the ring in Chopping Events, or at their marks in Running Events. 1. —No Competitor will be allowed to trim or work his block after declared light by Steward. 8. —All Protests must be in writing "and lodged with the Secretaries within« 10 minutes of finish of event. A fee of 10/ must accompany each protest This amount will be forfeited if protest be ilcemed frivolous by Committee. ADMISSION: Adults —1/6. Children—9d.
