Colonel Bury, of the Mount Everest expedition, writing from Tingri Dzong. north-west of Mount Everest, states: "Wo left Ivanrpa Dgong on June 8, and after a hazardous journey and numerous dffiiculties we reached our present position. Fifty miles away stood outdark and beautiful lofty peak called by the native? the %>ddess Turquoiso. This was our first sign of our ultimate o'oal." —"Times." V
