INCENDIARY REPRISALS. CORK HOUSES DESTROYED DEMOLITION OF BRIDGES. (Received 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, May 26. * As a response to military reprisals a number of houses of prominent Cork Unionists were burned. The destruction of bridges and roa:l s continues. —"Times." THE CUSTOMS HOUSE FIRE REBELS SHOOT THEMSELVES. LONDON, May 27. Auxiliar'c:, who gallantly entered the burning 'Customs House found the bodies 6f three rebels, partially burnt, each with a revolver wound in the forehead. Undoubtedly they died by their own hands. The caretaker of the 'Customs House died from wounds. A Sinn 'Fein crowd burned a furniture van and maltreated the driver. An armoured car restored order. — A. and N.Z. ULSTER ELECTIONS UNIONIST REJOICINGS. DE VALERA'S RETURN CERTAIN. • LONDON. May 27. It is now expected that the Unionists will secure 38 seats in Ulster. There were great rejoicings in Belfast. The Socialists made a poor show, and all forfeited their £150 deposit?. The latest Ulster returns show that Sir James Craig has a big\lead ig County Down, and that Mr Eamonn de Valera's return ,ig assured. Mr Michael Collins is among those elected in Armagh.—A. and ST.Z. The systematic rounding-up >f murder gangs is being undertaken.
