SATURDAY A FAILURE
1 It has been asked if a single town in New Zealand having tried Saturday as the half-holiday has returned to one- in the mid-week. In all FIFTEEN districts have thrown a Closed Saturday to the winds, finding after experience that it was against their best interests. This is the list:—• Opotiki. Waipawa. Roxburgh. Normanby. • Clinton. Maunganui. Wairoa. Kaikoura. ■ Murchison. Naseby. 1 Ohaupo. ' Westport. 1 Rcton. Otamatea. Nelson City. And a number of others are anxious to do the same. Let us not make the mistake they had to correct, bat KEEP our prosperity with Thursday Half-Holiday. 453
