SATURDAY A FAILURE.
It has been asked if a single town in New Zealand having tried Saturday as the half-holiday has returned to one in the mid-week. In all FIFTEEN districts have thrown a Closed Saturday to the winds, finding after experience that it was against their best interests. This is the list:— Opotiki. Waipawa. Roxburgh. Normanby. Clinton. Maunganui. Wairoa. Kaikoura, Mui'C'hison. | Naseby. I Ohaupo. Westport. Picton. Otamatea. Nelson City. And a number of others are anxious to do the same. Let us not make the mistake they had to correct, but KEEP our prosperity with Thursday Half-Holiday. 453
