To-night ;.i uie lovvn iiail the initial performance of the revue "Come Inside" is ty eventuate, and judging by tie trend of last night , a dress rehearsal success is assured The costuming of the revue is one of ita outstanding features, particularly so ia the Statue and Skating scenes and the beautiful Cabaret grouping. An, excellent <jast includes th« Migses Teat JSteadman and Heap, and Messrs tfowaid, Lambert, Over, Shepherd, ConagUan and Perry.
To-night Vs total takings go to Sister Cliff 'the Diggors' and Kaino Queen; tomorrow to Mrs jb'raser, the Betailers' Queen; on Thursday to Miss McKinnon, the Sports' Queen; on Friday to Miss Crawford, the Motorists' Queen.
The Sports Conunittoe hag organised another cricket match .ladies v. gentlemen in response to a challenge by the latter ,who were routed on the first occasion. The match will take place on the High School ground next Thursday afternoon.
Nominations for all the events in. connection with the sports meeting close on Saturday next at the organiser's office. Added interest to this attractive programme hus been brought about by the courtesy of the Whangarei Amateur Boxing Association in arranging to put on boutg at the meeting on January 29, at Kensington Park. Trophies will, be presented <to ..(he winners, and nominations may be left with the secretary, Whangarei Amateur Boxing Association, or with ihe organiser. of the Queen Carnival.
Mr Croft's chop challenge has been accepted by Mr Griffin, and this ©vent" should prove one of the strongest attractions in the district. v
The Sports Committee will hold a sports night on Saturday next at the ""'• Drill Hall and entries for all the events (see poster) may be left with the sports' secretary, tare the organiser's office. The first prize in. the lug-of-war competition is £7.
The Soldiers' and Kamo Committee will hold a dance at Kamo to-morrow. This was to have taken place at Kamo Jasi Friday, but owing to the inclement weather was postponed. 'Buses will leave at 7.40 p.m. from Whangaxei.
