THE QUEEN CARNIVAL.
MOTORISTS' QUEEN LEADING
Interest in the Queen Carnival is being fully maintained. A change in the position of th e Queens is announced. Sister Cliff has gone down one and Misa Crawford, the Motorists' Queen, heads the poll. The "Motor Boys" are determined to keep their Queen on top for this week. Dspite the fact that it is Christmas Week and most of th e Committees are busy with their own work, operations ar e still in vogue. The Mock Court on Saturday was extremely successful, and. although displaced in the poll at present the Kamo and Diggers' Queen Committee is by no means disturbed. To-morrow ,at Kamo this committee has arranged an excellent concert,' by kind permission of the officer commanding the 15th North Auckland Regiment, and under th e direction of Bandmaster Dobson, an excellent programme will be presented. Miss Heap, who is making her first appearance in the Dominion, will be an added attraction, and great interest is aroused. The reheasal for children this morning was most gratifying and promises well for the success of the spectacular display. Mothers ar c requested to send their children along to learn dancing free of all charges. Meetings of all the committees are being held this evening.
