WOOL PRICES
THE WELLINGTON SALES.
GOOD LINES RECOGNISED.
WELLINGTON, This - Day.
The first Wellington wool sales since - 1915 were held to-day. The prices for finer wools were better than anticipated. Some of the beet bidding came from one or two buyers apparently executing commissions for America. When lines other than fine cross-breds and half-breds were offered the interest flagged where Bradford was concerned and coarse cross-breds sold badly Superfine Romney wool realised lid and good cross-bred hoggart wool brught Some fine Marlborough merino was passed in at 18d per lb. Medium crossbreds met with an irregular demand at s§d to 7-£ d. Coarse cross-breds under 40's quality were neglected, the bids running from 4d to sd. Southdown wool was well competed for up to 13d. —Press* Assn.
