EQUITABLE DELIMITATION
SOVIET AND LITHUANIA,
(Received 9 a.m.) WARSAW, Oct. 23.* The Diet unanimously ratified the treaty of Riga.
The Marshal of the Diet said that Poland was endeavouring 'to settle her frontier to the mutual interests of Russia and Poland. The conditions were mot dependent on the military situation. Poland was not taking advantage of her late conquest and would not impose on Russia peace at variance with justice. Lithuania, at the instance of the League of Nations Commission to control Suwalfci, has sent its league representative and staff to Warsaw to negotiate with Poland.
The 'Lithuanian army on the left bank of the Viliya has ibeen withdrawn to a .position niidway between Vilna and Kovno.—A. and N.Z.
