DARGAVILLE, This Day. Great interest was manifested in the loan proposals poll yesterday for £40,000 for gjemeiral ,rmprove/men l ts and the erection of a public library and municipal buildings. (Fifty per cent., of the eligible ratepayers voted and the proposals were carried by a three-fco-one majority. The Mayor,
Mr Horttblow, and the councillors' received a 'great ovation when the resalt of the poll was declared. This marks the turning point of progress against stagnation. With the addition of the bridge proposals, etc. it means an expenditure of over £100,----000.—-Press Assn.
